200 HR | Winter/Spring 2025 Universal School of Yoga Training - Canada
Online and/or in person – Elliot Lake, Ontario
Foundations, covering everything from Asana to Z. Over the course of 5 weekends students will learn the specifics and mechanics behind a wide range of yoga postures, the meaning of the word ‘alignment’ and how that comes into play with everybody. We’ll also be placing heavy emphasis on how to teach Vinyasa flow, the specifics behind create intelligent and creative sequencing.
Additional course studies will cover the Yoga Sutras, Bhagavad Gita, energetic and physical anatomy, chakras, mudras, bandhas, pranayama, meditation, Introduction to Ayurveda, Kundalini Yoga, and a special intro to Trauma Informed Yoga.
Our anatomy course will include in-person training with Nadia, and additional studies and interactive learning and education from Leslie Kaminoff, the author of Yoga Anatomy, are also included.
This certification will take place in Elliot Lake, Ontario at Uniting Movement & Yoga Studio. The course will run over the course of 4 months, for 5, 3 day weekends of training every month. There will be additional online training, in-person classes, homework and reading assignments for students to continue their studies remotely between training weekends.
Upon completion of this program, graduates will receive the Yoga Alliance RYT 200 accreditation. In addition, students will receive access to 10% discount off all upcoming retreats, and courses as well as a 25% discount off select YACEP accredited certifications.

Prerequisites
6-8 months of consistent practice is a must. This program is designed for serious students who are looking to hone in on their knowledge of yoga, anatomy, creativity, philosophy, and teaching.
